ART & TECHNOLOGY
A Tribute to Lewis Mumford
An exhibition honoring Lewis Mumford ─ visionary thinker, historian of technology, social philosopher, and influential architecture critic whose ideas have become increasingly relecant in todays world.
WHO WAS LEWIS MUMFORD?
Mumford authored a remarkable five-volume body of work tracing the history of technology from prehistory through the 1960s.
His profound contributions to architecture, urban
planning, and technologica thought continue to inspire generations.

THE CORE OF HIS THINKING
The exhibition highlights Mumford's book Art and Technics and his reflections on the "cult of technology" and the gradual regimentation of human thought through technological systems - beginning with one of humanity's earliest instruments of social organization: the clock.
Cutting-Edge Architecture
Mumford believed that technology itself was not the fundamental problem; rather, the concern lay in the economic and social systems through which technology is employed.
His work raised important questions about the future
of civilization, human values, and the relationship between progress and human well-being.

Through contemporary artworks, architecture, technology, and interdisciplinary perspectives, the exhibition invites visitors to explore the dialogue between human creativity and technological systems

WHY IT MATTERS TODAY
In an era of rapid technological acceleration, Mumford's insights
remind us to keep human values at the center of progress.
